Shaver John Posted March 29, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 29, 2018 Anyone knows how the Live TV show filming works on the Regal. We will be on this ship in September and this is new to us. Thank you,,,,
Micahs Grandad Posted March 30, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 30, 2018 They have a studio venue and they film certain activities. Lot of fun but sometimes venue too small for all the people that want to see the show
caribill Posted March 30, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 30, 2018 Some of the things taped and then available on the cabin TV are some game shows, some lectures, and the daily morning show by the CD. There can also be activities there which are not taped, such as Bingo. When choosing where to sit in the Princess Live! room, note that cameras and the cameramen/camerawomen will block the view from a number of seats. Doug & Cindy Scrap Hunter Posted March 30, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 30, 2018 We're thinking about trying Princess and this might be the right ship. I'm a bit of a camera ham so don't be surprised if you see me anytime I get a chance. :D

Thank you,,,, Nothing that impressive. Game shows, like the Marriage Game, are held in Princess Live. They are recorded and available on the cabin TV at a later date. In my opinion Princess Live is a poorly conceived venue.

It works OK for what you mentioned but not for group activities like trivia where 4 or 5 people have to converse with one another. The seats aren't the most comfortable either. It’s the worst thing Princess has ever come up with, uncomfortable seats, no place to put drinks, no drink service. The poor cruise staff have to act up to a camera a pretend they are on tv, it’s embarrassing for them and the audience

Princess Live - Over crowded, little standing room, no drink service or place to put a drink, fake TV show, really difficult to get up and leave, uncomfortable seats, can't get to far side of room without crossing the stage area, small entrance. Explorer's Lounge - Also over crowded, but standing room in the back and around the bar area, drink service, tables for drinks, no TV recording, more comfortable seating, can enter and exit from multiple places. So agree. That is truly one of the things we enjoyed about being back on the Crown vs our last few Regal sailings.
