Mattnvick Posted April 8, 2018 #29 Share Posted April 8, 2018 So i saw you posted something on another thread the other day and saw your timeline as 2 days before embarking for Seaside. Wondered if you would do a report. Signed on this morning and yay you are doing a live review. They always make me laugh out loud. So entertaining and whet my appetite even more for our Seaside cruise next year. Question: In your air b and b the pic of the 3 beds (a queen and a single?) was that it or was there another bedroom? Looked fabulous. Just right for a before cruise stay. Have a fantastic time and hammer that drink package;p. :wine-glass::cocktail::tropical-drink::beer-mug:Btw where is Hello Kitty did she accompany you this trip? OceansOfTravels Posted April 8, 2018 #35 Share Posted April 8, 2018 I am very interested in your review, and I am enjoying it so far. I will be on the Seaview in July and have been waiting for Seaside reviews, but many are either extremely positive or extremely negative, or they are are from people in the ship's nicest staterooms and yacht club guests. I'll be in an inside on the Seaview, so I'm excited for your approach. Thanks for taking time out of your holiday to do this!

maureencruiser Posted April 8, 2018 Author #37 Share Posted April 8, 2018 [quote name='nat9511;55778060 Are you going on the President's cruise on the Harmony in September? Nat Hi Nat' date=' how have you been? I'm glad to see you're still cruising. I wasn't planning to, I was just on Harmony. I usually cruise for my birthday In Sept, though... Please please as part of your tour, can you post the room service menu... every menu for everything can be found online, except room service. Bella or Fantastica would be fine... and thank you if you can :) Will do, it's in 6 different languages, I'll post English unless you prefer otherwise. I won't post the Romantic Moments packages, although they're on the menu. That's things like champagne, rose petals, chocolate covered strawberries, etc. I'll just post the food and the pizza. You know, the good stuff! ;)
maureencruiser Posted April 8, 2018 Author #38 Share Posted April 8, 2018 That pizza looks so much better than RC’s. I’m here till they kick you off. OMG, It's fabulous. The margherita is the best. I'm a pepperoni lover () but I only eat the margherita on MSC. Don't worry, you'll see more, I've decided to just do the buffet for dinner. Somebody fortify that boom, it's taking on a heavy load! :') I looked for your summer house, the one with the Flowrider, but, I didn't see it... That’s for the wonderful play by play review! It’s quite enthralling. We’re sailing on the Seaside in September and will be using this review as a step by step guide! Thank you for saying that, I was afraid people would be saying, I thought this was a cruise review? I like to post everything, so, people can get to know me, then they can see what I like and if they think they would like similar things, you know? maureencruiser Posted April 8, 2018 Author #39 Share Posted April 8, 2018 Great review. Following! How many hangers are provided in the closets? Thank you. I have 7 of the regular shirt hangers and 4 of the shirt hangers with the clips for pants, skirts. I had to double up some of my pants, shorts. When I bring my big suitcase, I bring one of those 4 tiered clipping hangers, do you know what I mean? A few of my non cotton shirts, I just have sitting on a drawer. I love those for traveling, you can just wad them up in a ball and they still look good. Question: In your air b and b the pic of the 3 beds (a queen and a single?) was that it or was there another bedroom? Btw where is Hello Kitty did she accompany you this trip? That was it, a queen and a daybed. Sometimes, the host can provide an air mattress or cot if you need that. I can't remember if this one could or not, since it was just me. I'm big, I'm not that big! :loudcry: I almost brought Pirate Kitty, but, I figured the MSC crowd, being more European and sophisticated, wouldn't abide by that foolishness. I wanted to, though...:(

I've splurged and will again, but, for me, I'd rather do more cruises in less expensive cabins. I'm a pharmacy technician, so, not exactly rolling in the dough. Cue Homer Simpson voice, Hmmm, pizza.......
maureencruiser Posted April 8, 2018 Author #41 Share Posted April 8, 2018 I woke up this morning to this screen. Security policies violation? Et tu, Cruise Critic? I thought maybe Bob had gone back and taken a better look at those Cozumel photos. Not one to fret, I figured it was an internet at sea issue and would resolve itself in time. Off to breakfast. My usual, scrambled kind of looks like eggs, potatoes and sausage. The chocolate muffin was a bonus because it looked so cute wrapped up like that. After breakfast, another walkabout. The atrium. I told some folks yesterday who seemed overwhelmed by the sheer volume of people, don't worry, the first day on a cruise is always the worst day, crowded, can't get near an elevator. I said tomorrow, people will spread out. If you look closely, people are even walking on the ceiling. The crystal staircase. The chairs at the Champagne Bar looked like they melted. They were getting ready to play 3 deck high Guitar Hero in the atrium.
maureencruiser Posted April 8, 2018 Author #42 Share Posted April 8, 2018 I don't know much about art, but, I know what I like. The casino has TVs above the bar. More melted seats. The billiard room. I was there to put in my answer to the cruise director's question of the day. I want to win a prize! The aforementioned billiards.
maureencruiser Posted April 8, 2018 Author #43 Share Posted April 8, 2018 Crepes and gelato out by the pool because, well, why not? Frozen bits of deliciousness. I might take this bad boy out for a spin later. The Garage Disco, I believe it's called. For the car guys. And, girls.
maureencruiser Posted April 8, 2018 Author #44 Share Posted April 8, 2018 The bowling alley, 2 lanes. How the hoohah did Mickey Mouse get in there? Air hockey. Be aware I had a dream last night that I won 250K playing air hockey and then I won another 250K! I was so happy when I woke up, then reality sunk in. I've seen people asking about the Fun Pass. Here is a sign that was posted. A better look at the lanes. Apropos of nothing, here is one of those credit card activation kiosks.
Wansbrough Posted April 8, 2018 #45 Share Posted April 8, 2018 Enjoying the photos and your experience. We are on Seaview in June and its great to get an idea of what the interiors spaces look and feel like along with the Seaside product. That atrium looks massive!!! maureencruiser Posted April 8, 2018 Author #46 Share Posted April 8, 2018 Ah, Sheridan. I might buy some of this, but, how will I get it home? Jack Daniel's. Sadly, I'm from the wrong Lynchburg. I never heard of Tennessee Fire, though, I'm intrigued. At this point in my walk, I started smelling chocolate. You know those cartoons where the bear smells apple pie cooling in the window and he floats on the delicious aroma all the way to the window? That's me, with chocolate. Like a moth to a flame. Venchi has little chocolate storybooks. A fancier version of the Life Savers Storybook I always got in my Christmas stocking. Chocolate olive oil? What am I supposed to do with that, other than bathe in it and anoint myself daily? Chocolate. Bar. These are a few of my favorite things... At this point, the smell of chocolate was overwhelming. In a good way. In the best way possible.
maureencruiser Posted April 8, 2018 Author #47 Share Posted April 8, 2018 I was distracted for a moment by the Limoncello. I've never seen an angry snowman before. An angry elf, yes, but, not a snowman. I loved this one, with the eggs. I've heard of a clockwork orange, but, a clockwork chocolate?

maureencruiser Posted April 8, 2018 Author #50 Share Posted April 8, 2018 Bite sized deliciousness. The chocolate cocktails weren't covered by my drink package, but, the non alcoholic hot chocolate was. I got the one with hazelnut. I have photos of the menu if anyone wants to see it, but, someone posted earlier that all the menus are already out there. I loved this, the princess with a spiked collar, very Kitten with a Whip. Heading back to my cabin, this is the kind of Can-do spirit that I want to see! Speaking of can-do, now it's time for a bit of unpleasantness. My cabin steward is named Maria. Yesterday, being the first day, I was going back to my cabin about every hour, hour and a half looking for my luggage. But, I'd be gone for long stretches at a time. I wasn't really interested in the Frank Sinatra tribute show last night, but, I thought I might go to the Improv Comedy at 10:45. At some point, I decided against the dining room and ate at the buffet. I returned to my cabin around 9 and finally, there was my luggage. Maria was at my door and said, Oh, I haven't made your room ready yet. I said, Well, I'm gonna put up my clothes, then, I'll head out for a bit. I wanted to work on my review until it was time for the Comedy Show, so, I packed up my laptop, camera, notes, etc and found a quiet spot in a lounge. SHE saw me leave. About an hour later, my stomach was doing flip flops, was it all those different drinks or the variety of food? I headed back to my cabin and once again, she was outside my door. Oh, I was just about to make your room ready. I said, well, I'm not feeling well, so, I'm in for the night. I told her there was nothing I needed, ice, towels, etc. OK, fine, I didn't need anything last night. So, this morning, she SAW me leave about 9:45, she knew she didn't clean me last night, I still had the MSC luggage mat, etc. I came back about noontime and guess who was standing at my door? Maria, Oh, I was just going in, she said. Really? You knew you didn't clean me last night, I've been gone almost three hours and you haven't done a damn thing? She was starting to make my Boston Irish come up. I said How long do you need? She said 10 minutes. So, I went and sat on the stairs for 20 minutes. My face says it all.
