A Man called Hoss Posted April 15, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2018 Hi all. We fly from NCL to Barbados to join Marella Explorer next Feb. On our last hol, 3 weeks in Lanzeroite, we got meet & greet right next to entrance for £105, booked online and only 10 weeks beforehand. Saw on another thread the cost was £12 a day. Is that right? Any advice please.
Gate54 Posted April 15, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 15, 2018 It's less that, particularly if you book ahead. Try an internet search for parking at Newcastle airport and you should get a much cheaper quote. I usually use park and fly which is often the cheapest. Gate54 Posted April 15, 2018 #3 Share Posted April 15, 2018 Should have added that when you do your internet search you can sign up for emails from firms offering discounts which can be from 10-20%.
sandancer Posted April 15, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 15, 2018 I would leave the car at home and take the Metro right into the airport (unless your flights are during unsocial hours that is). Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Rare dronnygirl Posted April 15, 2018 #5 Share Posted April 15, 2018 Could you have misread this? Newcastle port of tyne is 12 pounds per day, the airport us usually much cheaper.
A Man called Hoss Posted April 16, 2018 Author #6 Share Posted April 16, 2018 Not sure if it was Port of Tyne, will check and let you know. We fly on a Sunday morning. Might check Metro times. Our nearest Metro station is 1 mile away, could get Son to drop us off.
robanddiane Posted April 18, 2018 #7 Share Posted April 18, 2018 Metro starts early and runs every 15 minutes on a Sunday. For car parking at the airport if you use the code metroc13 or park10 you normally get a discount. We nearly always go the night before and relax in the premier inn normally for around £30 a room. Whichever you decide on have a lovely time.
