Camargue And Aigues Mortes

Has anyone done the excursion to Camargue (we're taking Celebrity Constellation Med cruise in Sept)? I can't find a description of the vehicle we'd be on, or if we're just looking at the area from the bus, or actually getting down to the ground and able to take picutres of flamingos etc.

Have no clue what they do on excursions since we simply drove down there (in our rental car) while we were spending a few weeks in St Remy. Ironically, the day we drove to Aigues Mortes we only saw a few flamingos although there was plenty to see for bird watchers. The town is quite interesting, but unfortunately, has been overrun with touristy shops which take something away from its charm. We still recommend folks visit this part of France and we give credit to the French for preserving the natural environment of the area.
