Timsierramist Posted May 14, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 14, 2018 Just out of curiosity, and only out of curiousity of course), anybody have any luck "smuggling" the extremely against policy and evil bottle of Water (or two) in the luggage the you hand to the porters or your carry on? I heard through the grape vine that RCI doesn't actively enforce you bringing a few bottles of water in your packed bags. If you must keep the Omerta, I understand. Thank you. Clarea Posted May 14, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 14, 2018 They usually allow water, even in luggage.

Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk Since RCI scans luggage they may want to take a look at those bottles If they do your luggage will be delayed. If you only have like you say a bottle or two I would put them in my carry on. That way they can inspect the bottles to see if they are sealed and if they want take them. marci22 Posted May 14, 2018 #4 Share Posted May 14, 2018 I have put a 24 pack in a wheeled carryon. They may want to inspect it. This will keep your checked luggage from being delayed.
theSHAH Posted May 14, 2018 #5 Share Posted May 14, 2018 I have walked through the entire boarding process lugging around a 24 pack in open sight. Port Everglades, Harmony of the Seas, 4 years ago.
ARandomTraveler Posted May 14, 2018 #6 Share Posted May 14, 2018 I’ve dropped off 24 packs of water with a luggage tag on it, no problem. I didn’t put it in any type of luggage or anything. cb at sea Posted May 14, 2018 #7 Share Posted May 14, 2018 They SAY no water, but 99% of the time, it's allowed. A few bottles should cause NO issues.
Timsierramist Posted May 15, 2018 Author #8 Share Posted May 15, 2018 Thanks guys! I've dropped a pretty penny on my 3 week vacation, most expensive being this cruise, and I'm happy to save some money here and there. sailor05 Posted May 15, 2018 #9 Share Posted May 15, 2018 I always take some on because I love Dasani and no others.
ramja96 Posted May 15, 2018 #10 Share Posted May 15, 2018 I simply can't understand the dilemna with bottled water. If you want to bring a case, bring it. If they take it away, you're loss is maybe $4-5. No big deal - after all, you probably spent a couple thousand on the cruise. Live dangerously, take the water. Big_G Posted May 15, 2018 #12 Share Posted May 15, 2018 I'll give Carnival props here for reasonably priced onboard cases of water. They were able to crack down on bottles brought onboard with who knows what in them at a reasonable price to consumers. bell777 Posted May 15, 2018 #14 Share Posted May 15, 2018 We just went on the Allure and in a suitcase carried on a 12 pack of water with no problem. I need them for my room to drink my meds. Make sure they are in the plastic wrap so they see you did not open and put alcohal in instead. I had no problems but then again I am not trying to smuggle liquor just water for health reason. Beachammo Posted May 15, 2018 #15 Share Posted May 15, 2018 A luggage tag on a case works most of the time with the porters before getting on. Sent from my VS995 using Tapatalk
Timsierramist Posted June 11, 2018 Author #16 Share Posted June 11, 2018 Just wanted to confirm you can indeed "sneak" water in your luggage. I wouldn't push it, but here is 5 bottles I brought in my luggage that I handed to a porter at the dock. Safe and sound in room 8101.
