whtdog Posted May 17, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 17, 2018 HI All, We have a super late flight out of Anchorage. Is there luggage storage at the airport? The tourist center closes at 5, so with the princess transfer we still have hours till checking in. We hoped for at least a nice dinner before the redeye flight... and not dinner at the airport. Ideas are welcome !

Have you checked out the dining options at the airport? http://www.alaska.org/guide/food-beverage
Tucker in Texas Posted May 17, 2018 #3 Share Posted May 17, 2018 When we did the cruise many years ago, they had a storage room. There were a lot of foam ice chests with fish in them there so they may still have a room as fishing is such a big deal up there.
IECalCruiser Posted May 17, 2018 #4 Share Posted May 17, 2018 (edited) I doubt it. Most US airports eliminated luggage lockers after 9/11. Have you checked out the dining options at the airport? http://www.alaska.org/guide/food-beverage Looking at the website, the only location before security is a Starbucks. You are not allowed to check in or check your bags until four hours before your flight which is between 7:00 and 7:30. We had to wait almost two hours before we could check our bags and check in for our flight and I don’t remember the Starbucks. Our trip was in 2010 so something might have changed. Updated: There apparently is luggage storage at ANC at a cost of between $6 and $8 per bag. http://www.dot.state.ak.us/anc/travelerInfo/passengerSrvcs.shtml Edited May 17, 2018 by IECalCruiser
capriccio Posted May 17, 2018 #5 Share Posted May 17, 2018 Check out what a google search on Anchorage airport luggage storage returned! http://www.alaska.org/detail/baggage-freezer-storage-information. Some other US airports still have luggage storage. I know that my local Florida area airports do. Fort Lauderdale has a baggage storage facility in each of its 4 terminals and Miami has one in the Central Terminal. On the other hand, my local Washington, DC airports (Dulles and National) do not. Rare cruisequeen4ever Posted May 18, 2018 #7 Share Posted May 18, 2018 If you use Princess transfers, they will store your luggage for you. [emoji106] If you go independently, I don’t know if there’s a paid luggage storage facility. I don’t think I’ve seen one. Princess will only store your luggage at the Egan Center until the last transfer to the airport leaves at about 5:00. We have already determined from the airport website that there is a luggage storage service at both terminals. Jaymuxman Posted May 20, 2018 #12 Share Posted May 20, 2018 Just flew out of Anchorage last Sunday. Princess will only hold your luggage until 5pm. I saw no where to storage otherwise. However, Delta did come over the intercom and announce they would hold your luggage longer than the usual 4 hours should you have a late night flight. So, if you are flying Delta, you are in luck. amypete Posted May 20, 2018 #13 Share Posted May 20, 2018 There is. We did it last year. It’s on the lower level of the airport. Cost $10 I think? We were taking the red eye and it worked perfectly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

chubbypiggy Posted May 21, 2018 #15 Share Posted May 21, 2018 Just returned from Anchorage on Sunday. We stored our luggage at the airport. We paid $6/large luggage and $5/carryon. The storage place is located on Level 1, next to Bag Claim No. 4. Their phone number is (907) 248-0373.
