Rare Copper10-8 Posted January 21, 2006 #26 Share Posted January 21, 2006 All excursions on HMC have to be booked on the ship, when the ship leaves there is only a grounds keeper who lives on the island, its all HAL run. :) I'm gonna do that job when I retire - Hi Zig:)

Ziggy7 Posted January 21, 2006 #28 Share Posted January 21, 2006 The photos of Half Moon Caye are fabulous...thank you for sharing. I know the cabanas are for rent but what about the shade that you see over the lounge chairs? Know that on a vacation to Florida those were for rent. Wasn't sure if they were free or not on Half Moon Caye? Also, do you have to purchase a tour to snorkel or jet ski or can you just do it on your own?? Shades (ClamShells) over loungers are for rent, it's 9.00 for 2 loungers. You can rent snorkel gear and snorkel off the beach, but Jet ski's are a tour only. :)
djallar Posted January 21, 2006 #29 Share Posted January 21, 2006 When, exactly can the Cabanas be reserved? We'll be there the first of November, but HAL's site won't let me access shore excursions. I get a message saying there are no excursions available.

Ziggy7 Posted January 22, 2006 #32 Share Posted January 22, 2006 usually 90-60 days out from a cruise you can begin booking excursions I agree but I would keeping trying up to 5 - 6 months out. We booked one in 2004 4 months out, not sure how they deside to release them but they have been known to release sooner too! :D
