4 Adults in one room?

Four adults in one room for your parents first cruise? No. Don't even think about it. Doable? Yes. Enjoyable? Not even.

For their first cruise, let them have their own cabin. Spend the money for a much better experience.

Thank you everyone on the reply’s , and after reading comments I will definitely be tight for 4 of us. We don’t spend to much time in room but I believe it would be too tight. I will be getting my own room [emoji106]

This will be my parents first cruise and they are only paying port fees and taxes because of a promotion from our home casinos.

My question is with NCL free 3rd and 4th guest option me and the wife could get on with just paying the port fees and taxes also. Can 4 adults fit in a room if we upgraded to a balcony room ? My parents are in there mid 60’s

Has anyone ever tried this . I understand it will be tight but for the price.

It is also on the NORWEGIAN BLISS

I say do it...the price is perfect...yes it will be a little tight...but you will get used to it...also...there is so much room around the ship that i bet you guys will rarely be in the room at same time...here are some solutions to what i see may be problematic:

-Bathroom Issues- Use the bathrooms in the public areas to go number 2...that way no one is making the room unpleasant.

-Changing/ getting dressed- use your judgement and just close the bathroom door for privacy

-showering- just assign times to get ready for dinner...ie. let your parents go use the shower first...then they can wander the ship while you and yours get ready.

-snoring- you are on your own for that..

-finally..good or bad...i bet you guys will all enjoy the ship and the time spent together..

Seriously, for your elderly parents very first cruise, that is how you would want them to experience it? Nah. No way anyone is going to have relaxation/down time in the room with four adults in a small cabin.

Besides, back in post #22 the OP said she will be getting another room. All is well.

OP, I am glad you made the decision you did. I think you will be glad you did.

Ever since you posted, when I read 4 people in one small stateroom, I cannot get the visual of the publicity photo of "Bob, Carol, Ted & Alice" out of my mind. It was 4 adults in one bed. Even though I knew your scenario was very different.

I'd actually rather do 4 adults in an inside than 4 adults in a balcony. Cheaper, and no incentive to stay in the room due to the distinct lack-of-view.

But yeah, you guys are going to want your privacy. I think moving to your own room was a good call, for sure.

Yeah, it's doable, but I think it would also give your parents a bad impression of their first cruise. Besides, I'm pretty sure you won't be able to tag along for free like you're planning. Let them have their vacation without cramping them. It seems kind of selfish.
