Wondering if there are some private vendor options that are better than what is offered by the cruise ship?

My first thought is, where is this?

 

Second thought --whichever island it is, go to the ports of call board and ask on the appropriate board there.

 

third thought , try your cruise's Roll Call. Go to the Roll Card board, find your ship and sail date, and ask others on your cruise if they have found anything

I assume this is St. Thomas. We have used Captain Nautica a couple of times and it was a great experience. However, I don't know if they pick up near Crown Bay. We were at Havensite when we used them.
