So glad I cancelled our June cruise.  It would have been a nail-biter!

I wish I had ever booked Ritz yacht. Cancelled and I have been trying for over two weeks to get my deposit back. Many phone calls to RCY,  lots of promises by them but still no refund. Very poor service and bordering on shady business practice.

It won't help it get built any faster, but Ritz Carlton did decide to change the name of the ship:

I had heard that it is bad luck to change the name of a ship.  In this case, the name change merely ratifies the bad luck...

I liked the first name better...the second one just doesn’t have a nice ring to it.

Awful name goes with awful customer service....you shouldn’t have to beg to get a refund on a cruise RCY cancelled. Sounds like it is all a big mess. Best of luck to the folks booked on the June cruise.

Not sure about that, but the name Bonvoy is pretty crappy.  Probably paid a lot of money for someone to come up with that and also Evrima.   Wasted their money.   Thought they were smart people.  Guess I was wrong.   Still would like to try the ship if they ever get it finished.

I missed this from you RJB. I was in Asia. I cancelled the Ritz cruise some time ago. I did not like the itinerary as it was stopping in Dominican. 

After this past Asia cruise and length of time flying etc. I think we will stick to cruises closer to home. Caribbean are perfect and easy out of FL.  Will start perusing.
