Jewel - obstructed balcony cabins?

Are there any obstructed balcony cabins on the jewel?

No but some of the balconies forward have a steel frame that reduces slightly the view. All on deck 8 and those forward on 9 and 10 you can see half the glass balcony wall is covered.

Have you been on the caribbean princess? I believe the balcony cabins on that ship are the same way. I am trying to decide whether to book a deck 10 balcony or to book a balcony guarantee with the hopes of being upgraded. I just want to make sure I'm not compromising the view by booking a guarantee. Really, I just like to sleep with the door open and be able to look at and hear the ocean ... so the side views don't matter much to me. Just don't want a life boat in front of my balcony!! Thanks for your help, I do appreciate it!
