GCurry Posted January 9, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 9, 2006 Here is an ongoing thread on Ballroom dancing from people who dance and cruise. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=133289&pp=25 Usually ship lessons are pretty brief and may not be dances you really want to do. It would be better to take some basic lessons on shore and then enjoy dancing on your cruise. JMHO

Luv_to_Cruise Posted January 9, 2006 #5 Share Posted January 9, 2006 Every cruise we have been on with NCL has dance lessons, including our Majesty cruise in 2001. We were on the Dawn just last month and we had ballroom dance lessons. Three one hour classes offered on an 11 day cruise. Most lessons are given on sea days. The dance teachers were Chris and TL from Ottawa, Canada. Chris gave us two private lessons, $50.00 an hour. Not all dance teachers will do this, but ask. It helped us a lot, since we haven't been able to attend classes for over 2 years. Let me know if you have more questions.
smoothdancer Posted January 10, 2006 #6 Share Posted January 10, 2006 Hey...MG!! Dont you think this is just the perfect opportunity to get the OP husband to dance???? Maybe you can talk him into a few lessons prior to the cruise... Ya know no long term committment, just a few lessons so that you can dance on the cruise... And then you can get him hooked!!.. Only takes a few lessons to find out how much fun it can be>>>>

Janearl Posted January 10, 2006 #8 Share Posted January 10, 2006 We leave on the Majesty on Saturday and I am happy to know they give some lessons. It might be the only way to get my husband on the dance floor. Which lounge can you dance in every night.
