maun Posted June 26, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 26, 2018 Hello, Will be going on my first RCCL cruise in October. Does RCCL offer the service in Fort Lauderdale where they get your boarding pass from the airline and collect your bags the night before disembarkation and take them to the airport for you? Thanks for your help. ~~maun
not-enough-cruising Posted June 26, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 26, 2018 They do offer the service (Luggage Valet) at Port Everglades, whether or not you qualify to participate depends on the timing of your flights, the particular airline you are flying on, and of your flight is from FLL or MIA. LeeW Posted June 26, 2018 #3 Share Posted June 26, 2018 If you are flying an airline that offers two free bags and have two bags in the cabin you can buy the luggage valet for only one person and get the second person's boarding pass at the airport. maun Posted June 26, 2018 Author #6 Share Posted June 26, 2018 Thanks everyone! Happy to hear RCCL offers the service. I mostly cruise on Princess and always use the service and agree it is money well spent. ~~maun
Pmorton3360 Posted June 27, 2018 #7 Share Posted June 27, 2018 Loved valet in FLL with southwest. Walked to water taxi and had a great day. Sent from my SM-G955U using Forums mobile app
vpat48 Posted June 27, 2018 #8 Share Posted June 27, 2018 If you fly someone like American or Delta; we pay both a luggage fee and then a valet fee to RCL right?

Correct, your airline luggage fees will be charged to your ship onboard account.
semala Posted June 27, 2018 #10 Share Posted June 27, 2018 Is this only if you book air through RC? Or is it available for purchase separately if we didn't purchase air through them?
not-enough-cruising Posted June 27, 2018 #11 Share Posted June 27, 2018 It doesn’t matter if you booked air through RCCL or not. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Available to anyone. Cannot be purchased pre-cruise. You will receive info in your stateroom around mid-cruise.

TX_Atlantis_Cruiser Posted June 28, 2018 #18 Share Posted June 28, 2018 Also note that there is a strict deadline to participate which is usually mid-week. Keep your eye on the cruise compass and make note of the cut off day and time. I was planning on using Luggage Valet on one cruise as a way to get rid of the bags so we could have a relaxing morning in Ft Lauderdale and unfortunately missed the deadline so was stuck shlepping bags. kcteach12 Posted June 28, 2018 #19 Share Posted June 28, 2018 We are flying home after our cruise on Oasis from MCO. Do they participate in the luggage program? Also, our flight is on Southwest, but the only flight available leaves at 11:25. This is 5 minutes before the program starts on SW. will we still be able to use the program? Oasis still offers the Luggage Valet program from Port Canaveral to MCO. You can try to sign up for LV with your 11:25am flight, however you won't know until you are on the cruise if they will allow it.
