AMA Douro River

i am interested in learning about experience with the AMA line. We have never done a river cruise. Generally speaking,we have cruised on the smaller luxury lines.

Have booked our 3rd AMA cruise. AMA is understated & relaxed. Food & wine are excellent. The vessel staff goes out of their way to be helpful and most welcoming. Their shore sightseeing are small groups- not mobs with very well informed guides.

AMA is a very mellow way to travel-but there are activities, yoga, bikes etc You will not be bored.

Here are some reviews. https://www.cruisecritic.com/memberreviews/getreviews.cfm?action=ship&ShipID=760

We have done the Douro once and going again in October, but with other companies. Great river to cruise. You travel from port to port during the day rather than in the evenings like other rivers, which is great for seeing beautiful scenery.

I have sailed with AMA once back in 2016 and it was fantastic:)….food, service, tours, all of it...…….I keep saying I want to sail with them again but haven't been able to...…...I am looking seriously at 2019:D
