Some TA sites will show more than 15 in a given category. Unfortunately it is against the rules for us to post the addresses of TA sites on this forum.

Any clues as to those sites? I didn't realize private messaging wasn't available, now you've got me wondering. 🙂

When people get a chance to bid on Joy upgrades, it will be interesting to see how the Concierge class comes into play.  Will the two Category upgrades restrict balconies to bidding on MiniSuite and Concierge?  Or will they also get to bid on Haven?

I'm on the Joy in June and have a BD balcony at the moment.  Have an upgrade offer and it lists a mini-suite, concierge family inside, penthouse, and family suite with balcony, along with multiple Haven options.  Hadn't seen any other answers to your question so even though it's a while since your original post I thought I'd chime in.

Now to figure if I want to bid on anything...

Hi!  I’m new to this site and fairly new to cruising (one carnival and one previous NCL both over 10 years ago).  We are currently booked on the Star 6/23 out of Venice to the Greek isles. I looked through most of this thread but didn’t see any comments or experiences for that ship.  We are in oceanview with bids on balcony and mini suite.  I know at over 50 days out I still have a long wait to find out about the upgrade...anyone have any bid experiences on the Star to keep me entertained while I wait??

We were on the Star for a 14 day cruise thru the Panama canal in Feb 2018.

It was my first time at bidding and I think I bid to much.

Went from a BB  balcony to s SC  2 bedroom suite for $750 each.   reason I think I  bid to much is that the bid was accepted in 3 days after the bid.   However the suite was wonderful and I would do it again in a heatbeat

Sailing on the Star in 10 days. We bid the max bid on 4 suites as soon as the upgrade window opened. The NCL website as of this morning shows almost the entire ship is sold out ( one forward facing penthouse and a few inside rooms are all that’s left). Does this mean all of the upgrades have been given out and that’s it, or could the room shuffle still be going on and they just haven’t notified everyone yet? 🤤

We’ve been watching a cruise that’s leaving today and noticed changes in suite bookings being made in the last 36 hours. Vacant suite at high end suddenly sold out, suite level below it becoming available. I assume this means NCL accepted a bid 36 hours before departure. The rules state that you’ll be notified up to 48 hours before sailing. The suites are the last to be notified as they’re still hoping to get full price for them up to the last minute.

Probably,  I found the max bid is often the same as full price if not more

It was the Garden Villa. They are sold out for the season now. This was a once in a lifetime, last minute opportunity.

Do you happen to know what “itinerary no longer available” means?

It means currently sold out which also can have to do with lifeboat capacity.  No matter what you will not get your rejection email until 48 hours prior, remember cancellations can happen plus they are still data mining all those pending bids for data for future cruise info, very valuable information to companies future bidding.  Good luck

NCL GEM 5/10 sailing. Just had bid accepted from sail away Balcony to 2 bedroom family suite. Bid was $1220. Total was about $3306.00.  This was before getting assigned cabin.
