Fort Lauderdale question

An Everglades airboat tour is a great way to spend the time between debarkation and flight time. They'll pick you up at the port and then keep your luggage safely locked on the bus while you're on your tour, and then drop you off at the airport.

www.sunny.org has lots of FLL area tourist info - you might find some ideas there.

You can always pay to store your bags at FLL (most airlines will not let you check them earlier than about 4 hours prior to departure) and then head somewhere fun for lunch, or maybe ride the water taxi.
