This will be my first time at Amber Cove...

From what I see, there is NO fee?

How is getting a spot by the pool?

Is it like the craziness of Grand Turk? (GT just to many people:()

Thanks for any insight with this port! :)

Amber Cove pool is huge. If you go directly there, off the ship, it is no problem getting a good chair by the pool. You pay $20 for the umbrellas for the day, but they cover 2 chairs, so really big. You pay at a booth, then a guy comes and sets it up for you.

The chairs on the right side in this photo are reserved for those buying cabanas for day.

Huge umbrellas, but chairs are right next to each other.

The pool have several fingers, running off from the Main swimup bar area. Walk around to find you best spot.

Just got back from a visit to Amber Cove. This was our first time there. We went straight there for a pool day. Found 2 loungers easily and the pool was clean and well-cared for. There are waiters that travel around and will deliver drinks, as well as a swim-up-bar.

There is a separate pool that small children can use, but many were in the larger pool with adults. Neither was an issue. Easy slopes or steps into the water. Built in benches and even loungers in the water. Clean bathrooms available. There are two waterslides for all ages. Many lifeguards and also supervision of the slides.

We had no regrets choosing a pool day there. Be sure to bring sunscreen!

So, no charge if you don't want an umbrella?

Has anyone done the zipline there? Cost? I know my DH is going to want to do it.

$20 unlimited when we were there... such a great time to just spend the day at the pool!

and go for the umbrella another $20 or so.

it was so worth it!!!! We were the only ship in port!...seemed like we had the whole place to ourselves. And they keep the area sooooo clean!

What is the perk for getting a cabana?  And how many people does it fit?  (We aren’t booked on a cruise currently, but this caught my eye.)

Any snorkeling in the port area, if some want to stay at the pool and others want to snorkel??

No, the port is in a bay area and water is rather brown.  They let people kayak in it but not swim or snorkel as far as I could tell.  Don't think you would see anything anyway.
