wimelbracht Posted July 24, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 24, 2018 The HAL has cancelled the Karaoke on the ships. WHY ?? All other cruise line have it, I was very, very disappointed when I was on the Maasdam on a double cruise from Venice to Rome via Greece and from Rome to Barcelona to be informed that was NO Karaoke anymore. Please bring it back !!!! :*:*:*
Krazy Kruizers Posted July 24, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 24, 2018 A couple of years ago we were told 2 stories. (1) not enough people participated (2) CD can't be everywhere at the same time (HAL has cut back on staff).

Rare kazu Posted July 24, 2018 #4 Share Posted July 24, 2018 On the smaller ships, there aren't enough venues for karoke without sacrificing some other entertainment is one of the factors, I suspect. We had it a few years ago on the Prinsendam, but that was at the sacrifice of our piano guy not singing. So, he played and people tried to sing. I'd rather listen to someone who CAN sing. We normally hang out in the Crow's Nest and enjoy some drinks. We left very early that night.
cavecreekguy Posted July 24, 2018 #5 Share Posted July 24, 2018 This is sad to hear. I have such fond memories of karaoke on the Volendam a few years ago. One of the bar men was an especially entertaining performer and had us all laughing with his very expressive performance.
