TA's Advise About Cruise Release Dates

Recommended Posts

I was once told by a UK TA that RC releases new cruises in stages by region.

Firstly; RC releases cruises departing from the US.

Secondly; RC releases cruises departing from Europe, roughly 2 weeks after the cruises departing from the US .

As for cruises departing from other ports the TA had no idea.

Is there any truth in this statement?

Yes, Royal releases them in pieces. For example, for the 2019-2020 itineraries they did:

Short Caribbean - November 20

Canada and Bermuda - December 4

Europe Phase 1 and Alaska - December 11

Europe Phase 2 - March 5

Seasonal Caribbean - April 2

Australia/Asia - April 9

Short Caribbean Winter 2020 - April 16

China Phase 1 - April 30

China Phase 2 - May 15

Order can change from year to year, but this is pretty typical
