Verokaren Posted July 26, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 26, 2018 My DH enjoys his black jack, and especially enjoys the smoke free venues. Does anyone know how we can get a copy of the Oceania black jack rules? Thanks so much!

YoHoHo Posted July 26, 2018 #3 Share Posted July 26, 2018 Sorry, I can't help. I have played only once (sadly as tournament fodder) because other times when I stopped by either no game or full table. Perhaps I just hit bad timing for me as I dont go often but do check out what is happening more often on the R ships as pass by frequently and view from the amiable Martinis. Hopefully someone on board can report back for you

Aloha 1 Posted July 26, 2018 #5 Share Posted July 26, 2018 If I recall correctly, standard Vegas rules: Split up to 4 times and double down after split; double for less and on any 2 cards; Dealer hits on soft 17, No surrender; Usually one table where dealer shuffles and deals, other tables have the infernal auto shuffler. It is a small casino and whether you have company at a table depends on how much your fellow passengers like to gamble. Also, casino is tied in to Norwegian/Caesars casinos at sea so if you have any status there it can be applied on O.
MalbecWine Posted July 27, 2018 #6 Share Posted July 27, 2018 The infernal auto shufflers are awful It can be one bad shoe after another. I like the dealers to shuffle.
Aloha 1 Posted July 27, 2018 #7 Share Posted July 27, 2018 The infernal auto shufflers are awful It can be one bad shoe after another. I like the dealers to shuffle. Agree. The reason for auto dealers is to get more hands per hour and therefore more $$ in the house coffer. I can understand why Vegas would use them but on a cruise?? You're on vacation and cruise lines should give it a rest. The loss in "take" would be minimal but the attitude of the customers would be so much better! edgee Posted July 27, 2018 #8 Share Posted July 27, 2018 Also if you enjoy playing hand shuffled blackjack you usually have to play 25 dollar minimum table which are usually only offered on the larger O class ships.
SusieV Posted July 27, 2018 #9 Share Posted July 27, 2018 At least they pay 3:2 on a blackjack. We played this past cruise, $10 minimum otherwise standard Vegas rules.
