Not Photoshopped! I need to get that out of the way since it's what I thought when I first saw it on the monitor. I was out playing with the new telephoto and busy being thrilled by its close-focusing ability when I came across this tiny cricket sitting on a shaded hibiscus bloom. There's no great back-story. This isn't a harbinger of a Lilliputian locust plague. It's just a cute little bug sitting on a flower. This was a busy week with a busy weekend filled with projects and hosting a family brunch. Briefly wandering in the back yard with the camera was a welcome break. Sometimes it’s the simple things in life that are exactly what you need and often, the need is only realized afterwards.
