but DH can not stand for any length of time and finding a place to sit down was not always easy.

This is the main problem for my husband. Why more and more we are doing exploring on our own or private excursions as we are more likely to make it work.

It is a good excuse to avoid boring cocktail parties though where standing is expected 😆.

@rojaan19 I can no longer consider this collection complete.  Dear wife added the background, she may be hinting at something...

Fortunately this is not a temptation for me.  Since lockdown protocols have been in place only one member per household is allowed in the grocery stores.  Things have loosened up recently but Myster continues to be the shopper.   He is the chef here and I work in the scullery.   We do meal planning together.   I make notes on required ingredients and off he goes.  Otherwise I think at this point I would own the salty snacks aisle! 😁

JP will you be singing “Far above Cayuga’s Waters” at the wedding?  That was my mother’s alma mater.

We sang "Can't Help Falling In Love With You" as the bride walked down the aisle. The wireless speaker hiccuped and stopped playing altogether, as she was walking down. My brother is the techie of the family - but he was obviously too busy to fix it just then. So we all picked up and sang it for them.

My High School alma mater is actually set to the tune of "Far Above Cayuga's Waters" but the words are specific to our school.

The wedding was so much fun, and yesterday we were up far too late cooking pizza and drinking wine. Today was a challenge to get going on time and we didn't get home until almost 6PM. This week is going to be tough - but it was fun to see the family and get together. It had been far too long.

That sounds like a magical experience JP!  There have been way too few of those in the last little while!  So happy you got to enjoy one! 🥰

It is so fascinating to read how different countries have responded during the pandemic.  Even when we were in the throes of the initial outbreak and subsequent two surges, never did we face the prospect you describe.

Life has been truly grand since spring arrived here in the states and I hope you’re able to return to a general sense of normalcy soon, Mysty.  I know how fleeting the days of summer are at your latitude.
