whereto Posted August 27, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 27, 2018 i just looked at AARP and they don’t have any Carnival Gift cards listed. Does anyone know if they have been discontinued at AARP?
rsaladin Posted August 27, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 27, 2018 Allstate has not shown them for several days either. I really hope they will restock!

stalco Posted August 28, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 28, 2018 Help. I purchased two $500 gift cards from AARP to pay off a cruise. However when I go online it says something about a pin number. I did not receive a number. There is a very long number on the back of each card but where is the pin?

jc4me Posted August 28, 2018 #6 Share Posted August 28, 2018 I was able to get 2 $500 cards ordered before they disappeared from Allstate. Hope they come back because we have a 2019 cruise to Alaska to pay for!

jennas_mum Posted August 28, 2018 #9 Share Posted August 28, 2018 What was the AARP discount? $90 for a $100 gift card or $450 for a $500. Really adds up! Donna

RebelAthena Posted August 28, 2018 #11 Share Posted August 28, 2018 If you’re a Citi card customer, you can often get discounted cards through Citi as well.
cruzincat50 Posted August 28, 2018 #12 Share Posted August 28, 2018 They will be back. This has happened before. Sent from my iPhone using Forums Hope so. I didn't want to buy them too far in advance of our cruise in November. Once you've got them, they can only be used for/on a cruise. If for some reason you have to cancel a cruise, you would have to wait until you can reschedule another one.
Rare CruisinCrow Posted August 28, 2018 #13 Share Posted August 28, 2018 $90 for a $100 gift card or $450 for a $500. That's good! I got a gift card at Target using my Target card and got 5% off but 10% is even better.

RebelAthena Posted August 28, 2018 #15 Share Posted August 28, 2018 I do have a Citi Card credit card. How do you find the discounted gift cards? Citi Easy Deals; it’s wonky trying to sign on sometimes. Right now they have e-gift cards for both $100 and $500 (looking at them now).
kristinp36 Posted August 28, 2018 #16 Share Posted August 28, 2018 Well people talk about them all the time....I am sure more and more are being bought. Could cause the program to be discontinued eventually.

What is the discount so I know if it's worth it to keep trying. :)

I found that if I log into my citi card account and then try the Citi deals website that I have more luck.

Don Kehote Posted August 28, 2018 #23 Share Posted August 28, 2018 Well, we've done a fine job of creating excess demand here. I wonder if it'll ever naturally reach equilibrium, or if they'll start selling for $95, or just be dropped altogether.
