Koolaid33 Posted August 29, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 29, 2018 Any suggestions? We have never been to Atlantis. I did read the pools were heated at Atlantis so that's an option if it was a cool day. We will be traveling with a 9 month old. Nassau has never really been my favorite port but we don't want to stay on the ship. Let me know what you think.
scubagirrl Posted August 30, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 30, 2018 (edited) Pools are barely heated. I wouldn't pay to use a pool in cool weather. Atlantis beach pass does not include pools. You would have to buy a water park pass. You might be better off at the zoo with the little one Edited August 30, 2018 by scubagirrl
Rare Tapi Posted August 31, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 31, 2018 I’ve been to Nassau more times than I can count, and it’s far from being one of my favorite ports. But for our last cruise, we decided to do something different and reserved a private boat just for our family that took us to neighboring Rose Island. All I have to say is “WOW!”. It was SO nice to get away from all the crowds that normally take over this port of call. Not only did we have a boat all to ourselves, but we went to an amazing, secluded beach. Literally, we had the entire place all to ourselves. This has been, without a doubt, one of the most memorable things I’ve done while in Nassau. It will cost you more than booking an excursion or trying to do things on your own, but in my opinion it’s completely worth it. About the weather, chances are that you won’t have any rain and will enjoy sunny skies during that time of year, but needless to say water may be a bit on the chilly side but doable. Maybe not chilly if you’re a northerner, but if you’re used to the warm Caribbean waters it may be a bit uncomfortable, at least the first time you go in the water. theSHAH Posted December 29, 2018 #7 Share Posted December 29, 2018 (edited) Define chilly. I'm from New England and water at the beach is freezing all season until maybe August. Swimmable still? Edited December 29, 2018 by theSHAH
