Quick question about SDP

Going with a family of 6 people soon, and two of them got the promotion for the 3-meal specialty dining package. Weighing out whether we should get the remaining 4 people the packages as well considering we'll be eating the meals together.

Does anyone have an estimated amount of savings by doing so before boarding vs paying the a la carte prices? That is, perhaps an estimated adult meal at a specialty dining venue and how that compares to the ~$23 value of the SDP. Would just like to understand if its ones, tens, or hundreds in savings!

A couple of weeks ago on the Getaway (reference link above), the ship was selling the 3-meal package onboard for $94.80 (which includes the 20% gratuity). That is greater than the cost they currently have advertised on their website.

That being said, all of our meals were [a lot] more than the $31.69 average price of the package ($94.80 / 3). Our most expensive meal was over $75 per person,,, all paid for by the SDP.

Buying a 3SDP for each online is the best option. It is $10 less per package if purchased online. However, if using OBC instead of real money, it's better to purchase on the ship.

Going a la carte only makes sense if the 4 without don't eat together with the 2 that have the 3SDP.

Using a SDP to cover a meal is almost always less expensive than a meal a la carte.
