dougp26364 Posted January 10, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 10, 2006 The ship cleans out the safe after every guest. How cheep can you get. They were not issued to you, so they don't belong to you. Always glad to see someone with a rude answer/attitude in the morning. Nothing like a little personal slam with a tiny bit of information now is there? How cheap can someone get? I can get pretty darn cheap and I personally love to use the C&A coupons. If someone has extra's they wouldn't be using, I'd be happy to make use of them myself. But here's the rub. On our last two cruises, they took our seapass information and put it on the coupon plus had us sign the coupon. Now I suppose that would indicate that they're making sure you're not using more coupons than what is issued to you. However, the way RCI follows up on things, I doubt they would actually pay attention. The only coupon I could see that they might see right away would be the internet coupon which is generally handled on you seapass account right away. If you attempted to use more coupons than what was issued to you, what's the worst that could happen? They'd just say no and you wouldn't get the discount. As far as cleaing out the safes/rooms, I've seen threads where people have found all sorts of items left in their rooms. You are supposed to leave your safe open and it should be an obvious place to clean. If someone were to leave coupons for you, a better place to leave them might be on top of the cabnet's or under the mattresses. :D

memphiskel Posted January 10, 2006 Author #5 Share Posted January 10, 2006 dang joe, lighten up. i have read TONS of posts on this board of people leaving C & A coupons in their cabin for the next cruise. if they are not going to be used, why not? and i am hardly cheap (not cheep)--spending a chunk of change for my vacation. thanks for the backup, doug

Aliann Posted January 10, 2006 #8 Share Posted January 10, 2006 Cheap? Wow Joe, have you had your coffee yet? Isn't there something to be said for consideration of other people and not letting the coupons go to waste if someone else can use them? I think it's kindness towards others that would have a C & A member leave the coupons in the safe for someone they don't even know. And after that week that cruiser will be a C & A member anyway, anything wrong with enjoying maybe $5.00 off a stack of $20.00 casino chips a little early? (Don't know if that's what the coupons would be for so please don't ask, just using it for example) Again, it's true kindness for someone to do that for a stranger, then again, I guess you wouldn't know about such a thing. Perfect example is you couldn't just disregard this thread you had to post a snide remark that no one could benefit from, and for the mere reason just to post and be rude. Don't know when your next cruise is, or if you have one scheduled, but if you don't have one scheduled perhaps some R & R is in order. To the OP who is obviously fairly new to the board, please don't regard his comments as the normal you will get on these boards. I hope someone does leave coupons for you and I hope you enjoy them! memphiskel Posted January 10, 2006 Author #9 Share Posted January 10, 2006 thanks everyone! i have been reading these boards for a while and know that joe clearly is in the minority. thanks for offering, imatarb. see joe, that's the spirit. i agree that if you don't have a cruise scheduled soon, you should make some arrangements to take some time off. you are cranky!
