Cannes private tour advice

When I wanted the same information, I googled something like "shore excursion nice and monaco from Cannes" and asked questions from the companies that I came across. You may have to google a few versions of your question until you get a few answers.

Only you know exactly what you want from your trip, you need to ask the questions.

One advantage to hiring a private guide is they are the expert. But you might consider a visit to the Nice Flower Market, at least an hour visit to St Paul de Venice, short visit to Eze Village, and being in Monte Carlo for the changing of the guard.

As has been suggested, take a look at the excursion itineraries offered by your cruise to give you other ideas.

Also keep in mind that Cannes is a tender port which can mean a substantial delay getting ashore for independents who do not have any kind of priority.
