UR Comped experiences

Recommended Posts

We are starting to hear a lot about UR Comped offers, so I thought it would help those (like me) who haven't tried these types of offers.....yet!

I've been somewhat reluctant as I had an uncomfortable time with a 'National Casino Host' that was forcefully trying to recruit me for land & sea offers. With NCL/CAS my offers have been pretty straight-forward and my DH likes their cruise-line. (With Ruby tier on CAS I start each cruise with some good comps before earning additional).

Please compare for us what your experiences were. Any and all information is appreciated but I've added some questions below as examples of what I would find helpful:

1-What was onboard casino like on (MSC, Crystal, etc) line. Enjoyable for slots/tables/video poker?

2- What type of cabin were you offered? Was it comparable to the original type you are used to being comped?

3- Was there an expectation given of what type of play would be required?

4-Are you only given shorter notice cruise offers? (less than 3 or 4 months?)

5-Are you able to call/contact them to ask about a specific ship/cruise or do you have to wait and see what you are offered?

Thanks to all who can offer some information!

I recently returned from one of the UR Comped cruise offers. Our first UR Comped cruise and will not be our last.

Cruised on Royal Caribbean Harmony of the Seas. Large variety of slots and tables.

Stateroom comp was inside, but upgraded to a Central Park Balcony. Really cheap.

They ask what your bankroll is. I gave them an amount. We usually gamble when we're on a cruise. They get a report on how much you gambled and use that for future comps. My current comps now are balcony staterooms and I did not use all my bankroll.

Variety of cruise to choose from. Both short notice, 6 months, 1 year, etc. Inquired about the cruise at the end of July. Cruise date was 9/1. Took them 48 hours to confirm the booking.

They are very responsive to any questions you have regarding the cruise/staterooms/etc.

I have a urcomped cruise coming up in December on the Oasis. What kind of play are they looking for. I do not want to be too nosy but if you do not mind how many points did you rack up and did that satisfy them? I would very much appreciate if you could answer as I have asked multiple times and nobody has responded. I do not want to screw this up. Thanks.

Since this is turning into somewhat of a master thread for URCOMPED, I am curious if anyone knows the rules about extra guests? I usually take my family of 5 on comped CAS cruises, but wondering if I have an option at URCOMPED. I currently receive a "comp balcony" when I look through my offers and have asked them directly, but have not heard anything in a couple of weeks. Thanks in advance!

I earned enough points for a free balcony cruise certificate. I sent a photo of the free balcony certificate to the UR Comped rep. After she verified it my comp staterooms were changed from an inside stateroom to a balcony.

Thanks so much. I have not cruises with them for 2 years but just got off a little comped 3 days Enchantment cruise from being mlife platinum. I ended up with around 2700 points over the 3 day cruise. The slots were super tight and I only came close to breaking even on the last day on nearly my last bet when I hit a grand jackpot for a measly $750 lol. At Vegas I feel like I could hit a big one at any time. On cruise ships and in Seminole casinos I often feel like I am throwing money away. I go to vegas 2 weeks before my Oasis cruise so that will dictate how much I bring. I will go look at how many points a free balcony is now. Thanks again.

Royal uses 2400+ for comp inside, 3600+ ocean view, 4800+ for balcony.

Check in with the host a couple hours before ending gambling the last night. Host converts theos to comparable slot points and can tell you how close you are to next level and you can decide to gamble more or call it a night.

if you get a URCOMPED offer, what's the minimum you need to play to continue getting future offers?

Here is my one concern on urcomped. Let's say you go on a RCL cruise and get 4800 points. This qualifies you for a balcony on your next cruise. Urcomped gets this information and you are able to get a balcony through them but they expect play while you do not have to get any play if you go through RCL. The only thing I can think of us the RCL offer has a list of cruises to choose from while the urcomped has more cruise offerings. Has anyone been able to get things like drink cards, free wifi, free dinners, ect through urcomped?

We took a comped balcony cruise on RCL arranged through URCOMPED. We had a $10,000 bank roll line of credit with RCL. We used about $6500. My wife and I earned a total of about 5000 points. Of course, RCL does not combine accounts. My wife mostly played BJ and some machines. I played mainly Poker machines. I think my total points earned were 2900. We broke even mainly because I hit a $2000 Royal Flush and my wife hit a $1000 jackpot on a machine.  The casino host provided us with a sticker for comped drinks in the casino. She also sent gifts to our cabin every day (wine, sweets, flowers, etc). On day 6 of 7 RCL gave me an inside cabin certificate. My wife was given future cash credit. They were delivered to our cabin. I think our initial rating with URCOMPED was primarily based with our land based casinos play from trips to Vegas and Tahoe they had arranged before the cruise. After this cruise our offers for RCL cruises dropped from balcony/suite offers to " highly discounted" offers. We're still offered balcony/suites on other cruise lines. The URCOMPED rep told me RCL reported low play back to them so the reduced offer. Of course, they will not share what information they were provided. We have another RCL cruise that URCOMPED arranged before the lowered rating. We have a Jr Suite on that cruise. Our URCOMPED accounts are combined. However, I'm unclear if RCL reported our total play. My wife booked the cruise with URCOMPED so I suspect they only received a report on her play. I booked the upcoming cruise so  I'm curious about the report URCOMPED will get back from RCL?

We cruise on NCL but have not booked through URCOMPED. CAS always comps us balcony cabins.

I think URCOMPED can work with casinos and cruise lines not listed as offers. Our next cruise is out of New Oleans. Our " host" did try to get us a deal at hotel/casino in New Oleans. We actually got a better rate on our own, but they did try. I don't think they can do anything if you already have a host at casinos. They told us they couldn't help us with NCL because we had taken a comped cruise with them in the last year.

Taking my first URComped in January on the Seaside.  I will be solo.  Had to pay $400 ($200 x 2) which I will get back as onboard credit which can be used in casino so that is a no brainer for me.

Had a guarantee inside and just found out I have a higher level balcony upgrade for $0.

I am looking forward to trying a new ship as I have mostly sailed NCL.

URComped is very prompt with their email replies.  I am very please with their customer service thus far.

One thing I have noticed is that some people on another site mention that they have more than one URComped cruise booked and have not used them as yet.  I thought you had to have results from a first cruise before getting a second one but who knows?

Riddle, I was able to book three cruises with URCOMPED before my first cruise. Two of the cruises are b2b. I did have tracked ground casino play from two trips. Perhaps that's the reason I was able to book multiple cruises. I agree they are generally quick to respond.

DH & I are also considering booking via UrComped in the future.  Currently, we are booked on our first-able-to-take Carnival Ultra and I'd like to see if it lives up to hype.  Price was $1700 to upgrade to balcony in Spring break time April 6, less $1500 cash onboard, with drinks in the casino, gifts, etc.  Typical bankroll for each of us is $500/day pp.  DH has been offered Elite cruises twice that were dates that we were unable to take.  We are not retired.  And that is where most of our issues come from... we can't just take whichever date is offered for whatever great deal...or we would have certainly jumped on the balcony offers from Celebrity's casino last year!

In trying to shuffle dates to arrange this Ultra, I noticed that URCOMPED had a non-flight (out of Galveston) offer for DH on the RCI Liberty of the Seas, balcony for total price of $600 + PTF.  Comparing what I could book equivalent for direct it was half price... January 12/13 timeframe (our other available date)...and I was REALLY tempted.  The main deciding factors were...cash on the ship from Carnival and the fact we had not done an Ultra before, drinks, and the way Carnival hand "deals" UTH table game.  Otherwise...

The more I'm hearing and seeing, the more likely I am to try them sooner than later!

What onboard perks come automatically with a URComped Royal Caribbean sailing? (Drinks, snacks etc)I have the Anthem booked for March and was curious. As an FYI the new itineraries for Bayonne will be coming out next week and ther are rumors the Oasis will be sailing the spring/summer months for 2020. If that is true I will call and book that also.

Thanks!

I have mainly cruised NCL and been comped by them.  NCL sends out random (apparently) cruise certificates for future cruises, mostly tournament cruises.  I got a bunch of them last fall/winter but none since though I have cruised once every two months and have had good points in the casino.  I always get a comp if I call.  I do have a UR Comped booked for next month.  If I want to try to get another UR Comped booked what would I use for verification since CAS at NCL uses phone call inquiries to book comped cruises?

You can send over a copy of your players card as well as your booking confirmations from your NCL sailings you did recently, They can see the level of comp you normally get from your old receipts.

They are bringing Oasis to NJ, I wound up booking it directly through Casino Royale. I spoke to UrComped and they can only comp you 12 months in advance and this sailing will be 20 months from now. Casino Royale discounted it and said to call back next October and they will turn it into a comp it based on my Anthem sailing come March because of the same 12 month rule (FYI NCL is 18 months). They also said I could hold off and book next year but the category of room I wanted only had 2 on the ship and I didn’t want to lose the room location.

You need to sign up and take them up on the offers!!  I cruised Carnival for years and just recently "jumped ship" with Carnival.  Carnival has had me in their little pocket for years and their bounce back offers, etc.

UR comped you sign up with MSC cruises and it is "COMPED"  100% no port charge, taxes or any of that.  They ask for a deposit, but they give that back to you 100% as a cruise credit!

It is amazing.  We just signed up last year and have taken 2 cruises with them already and have 2 more booked for this year!

Try it!  You will not be disappointed.

You don't have to book 12 months in advance either.  I booked my  New Year's cruise with them 3 months prior to sailing.

Let me clarify.....they cannot comp you anything more then 12 months out. Since the sailing I wanted was October 2020 they were unable to book it for me.

Sailed with them twice, have 1 booked and another in the process...

1) MSC Seaside - Qualified for balcony, but decided upgrade to whirlpool with Aurea experience for $$ (very recommend), one of our best cruises, but casino sucks, can't

even get my money to loose because they place daily limit on your card. Very small and loosely casino, but if you play $1 bit you may survive...

Husband get 10000 and inside spend half bankroll,  I'm 6800 35% and $350 spending all

Doungraded to inside and discounted on URComped;

then uploaded many balcony and land offers and

2) Ruby Princess - Balcony and inside, cruise after dry dock, may be they changed the personal, food in dining room very bad, tried everything (very unusual for Princess), went to the steakhouse and stayed there...Best bed in the sea, nice, attentive, casino host Nicola. Casino very good in size and machines. It was 4 day cruise, bus first night stayed in port, so turn out 3 day, I'm earned 12000 and when I'm asked Nicola on out comped dinner in the steakhouse what kind of the comp cabin I'll get was shocked to hear "YOU ARE ALREADY ON THE COMP CRUISE YOULL RECEIVE NOTHING". Spend all my bankroll. Husband earned about 3000 and received nothing.Get frustrated contacted URComped to ask them what happened next? After awhile desided to contact Casino in the Sea (familiar with them) and finally received comp balcony with $250 casino play, submitted to URCOMPED with photo of my 12000 that I'm earned, received strange reply from my host...

My offers lowered to inside

We are always want to go on Harmony, but only can go with our kids on spring break

Contacted my host regarding this and received answer in 2 weeks - 2 discounted inside cabins, my husbands about 50%, mine about 35% off. Booked.

Then surprisely received free BALCONY offer on Celebrity Edge, now waiting on my "price". Come back when it comes...

VERY THANKFUL FOR URCOMPED FOR OUR MSC CRUISE best ship ever, best food ever (book speciality and drink package ever if you have drinks in the casino) and be careful in the casino...

Yes, it's true. I paid $1000 to upgrade from Bella balcony to Aurea jacuzzi cabin, by my husband receive free upgrade from Bella inside to balcony. I'm highly recommend upgrading from Bella to the Yaht Club, like our friends, totally different experience!
