Car rental near Boston Cruise Port

Hi all,

We will be arriving in Boston on Saturday, November 3rd and will be there from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m.

 

Since we have been to Boston many times, we would like to head out of the city to meet up with family in Portsmouth, NH. Are there any car rental agencies close to the cruise port? I would prefer not to go out to the airport.

The only thing close is Enterprise on Summer street.

It's about half a mile. Google map the Raymond Flynn Black Falcon Terminal and Enterprise rent a car on Summer street for directions. Traffic is brisk on Summer street, but there is a light there. Or, you can probably have Enterprise pick you up at the terminal.

I just googled it........it seems easy to walk, especially since it will be early morning or possibly have Enterprise pick us up. Their office is closed for the day, so I will call them tomorrow.

Another option close to the terminal is Budget/Avis at 2 Seaport Ln, Boston, MA 02210. There is a lot of construction going on in this area, so we took Lyft instead of walking and arrived about 10 min. later for only about $7.00. The owner was super friendly and even offered to take us back to the cruise terminal at the end of the day. If you call ahead they might pick you up at the cruise terminal. We got a super deal booking through Costco.

swhidbey2 is correct the closest car rental agency to the Cruise terminal is Avis/Budget st 2 Seaport Lane- the office is best reached via Congress street at the corner of D Street-They will also pick you up at the terminal  and take you back to the terminal is you call them in advance to prearrange- great service and super friendly staff. 617-778-2409
