P&O Australia Names Newest Ship

(11.30 a.m. AEST) – P&O Cruises Australia has announced its newest and first Grand Class ship will be named Pacific Adventure and will join the cruise line in late 2020.

 

The 108,865-tonne ship is currently sailing as Princess Cruises’ Golden Princess. It will be transformed into Pacific Adventure prior to the ship entering the P&O Cruises' fleet in October 2020. Pacific Adventure will be joined by Grand Class sister ship Star Princess at the end of 2021.

 

Pacific Adventure will cater to 3,100 passengers and include many of the features found on sister ship, Pacific Explorer. The child-free Oasis retreat on Pacific Adventure will encompass multiple decks and offer sun lounges, spa tubs, a swimming pool and dedicated bar. The Blue Room also returns as a live-music venue with bands playing blues, soul and R&B.
