Live Bliss - Haven/Casino Edition

My wife and I are loyal casinos at sea players - meaning we only cruise with NCL and spend a large amount of our time and money in the casino! I don’t see a lot of casino conversation and threads about experience, wins, losses, game types, etc and I was thinking about doing a live review during our Bliss sailing happening next week 10/13. Just wanted to see if there was any interest in this? And if others found it easy to do live reviews with photos via mobile? I won’t be bringing a laptop.

I don't spend tons of time in the Casino but I do spend a fair amount of time in it. I'd be interested in following your casino Bliss report since we board November 3. I'm interested on the kind of slot machines they have and the minimum bets on table games.

Do you need to do anything special to "join" the CAS rewards program or just show room key when sitting at a table to get rated? Or do they actually have a player's card when enrolling that you can use in the machines a la the Vegas players clubs? Thanks.

I would love to hear this type of review. Sail next January and although we are not in the Haven we will be spending a lot of time in the casino.

Information on type of slots, minimum antes at the tables and what's hot would be wonderful.

Just go to the desk and ask for a card.

Ill be watching. I am also curious if there is a Texas Holdem table on the ship somewhere?

Yes, there is a real poker table and they have live games and tournaments. They also have a couple of Ultimate Texas Hold'em tables, one in the non smoking area and one in the smoking room. Lots of blackjack but I didn't play because it is constant shuffle and drives me crazy.

Your room key can be used, or you can get a players card made at the Casino Host desk. For slots, I recommend getting a players card, so if you happen to leave your card in the machine, you can still access your room.

Yes there is. All Norwegian ships run $2/5 no limit games. Smaller ships sometimes have trouble filling the table on a regular basis. But no problem on the mega ships.

Actually I re-read it a bit later and caught what you were saying. My lysdexia kicked in and I read it as you don't spend time in the casino but you spend time in the casino. LOL

Awesome! Seems like there’s interest! I’ll make sure to to it then. Please follow the thread for further updates. My wife and I don’t do “cheap cruising” or vacations in general. Work hard, play hard, right? So, a lot of the reviews don’t help us because they’re people complaining about food in free dining rooms or nickle and diming of upcharge issues. Not that cost/value isn’t important - but we do all specialty dining, spa, haven and casino on our trips. So, that’s all we’ll be weighing in on.

Yes, based on your play. They make it super easy though. Just use your CAS players card when playing to accrue points. After our first NCL cruise (we paid for) we haven’t paid for one since. We usually go on two a year that’s comped in the haven.

Thank you very much. We do the same as you mentioned. Work hard play hard, dining, beverages, suites. We pamper ourselves on vacation. 2 gratis cruises this year on RCCI. Paying for NCL. Wanted to try the Bliss, Haven, and see Jersey Boys ( scheduled both shows!) Thanks for the upcoming time you’ll spend on this & we will be following.

That would be wonderful and much appreciated. We're casino at sea (and on land) people and love our Haven time.

To quote my 89 year old mother when I suggested we book a Disney cruise -- why would you expect me to travel on a ship without a casino.
