donaldsc Posted October 4, 2018 #2 Share Posted October 4, 2018 There are a ton of cruise packing lists on CC. Try using the search function of CC. I very quickly found 73 lists. DON
GUT2407 Posted October 4, 2018 #3 Share Posted October 4, 2018 Most of the lists include junk we’d never use in a million cruises. Clothes Documents Money Medications Camera Electronics if you can’t live without them. Take clothes you can layer and serve multi purposes. Rare mom says Posted October 4, 2018 #4 Share Posted October 4, 2018 This isn't your first cruise. Pack what you'd typically pack for a warm weather cruise. Plan on doing laundry at least once. The NCL website has a whole section about what to pack. And what not to.
Shmoo here Posted October 4, 2018 #5 Share Posted October 4, 2018 Most of the lists include junk we’d never use in a million cruises. Clothes Documents Money Medications Camera Electronics if you can’t live without them. Take clothes you can layer and serve multi purposes. Exactly. We pack the same for a 5-7 night cruise as we pack for a 14+ night cruise. And do laundry. No one is going to remember you wore that shirt 4 days ago. crystalspin Posted October 5, 2018 #6 Share Posted October 5, 2018 Leaving for a 14 day Panama Canal Cruise next month. Can you share list of musts hers/his and misc? Actually, I can tell you what I packed for the other direction on the N.Star, and provide a list of sundries from a 26-day transatlantic and Mediterranean that is what I take on all trips over 3-4 days. Write me at my CC name, at that yodel sound, .com It is hot and very very humid.
jlp20 Posted October 5, 2018 #7 Share Posted October 5, 2018 As stated, research if there is a self service laundry on your ship. If so figure doing wash twice. If it's the ship's laundry service do it once during the cruise due to the delay in turn around time. At some point you will come up with your list. Now cut the clothes list in half and plan on spending twice the money.
crystalspin Posted October 5, 2018 #8 Share Posted October 5, 2018 There is not a self-laundry on Zuiderdam or her sisters (HAL is removing them from ships that did have them like the Zaandam). Ship's laundry is by the piece, by the bag, or unlimited for about $7/day. The turnaround time is not usually too long! and I have it on good testament that they DO follow penciled in requests like "cold wash, low dry". There is a pull-out clothesline above the tub and the dispenser's body wash is not bad as a hand-wash-soap!
