Pearl Harbor Tours

i noticed that there are 3 or 4 tours at Pearl Harbor

1. The Arizona Memorial Tour (free)

2. The Arizona Memorial with Narrated Headsets- $7.50

3. The Arizona Memorial with smartphone and VR experience - $12.50

4. The passport tour- not sure what this includes

 

Has anyone done option 3 or 4? Does the smartphone include headphones?

At last check, the Arizona Memorial is still closed due to structural issues. Was supposed to reopen Oct 1st but hasn't yet. The Visitors Center is open and worth a couple of hours to see. There are many displays telling the story of the attack.

#3. Use your own smartphone and there are a number of extra features that are interesting.  If you donʻt have earbuds you can buy them at the shop.

 

#4. The Passport To Pearl includes access to all the paid museums. (You donʻt get a ticket for the USS Arizona in that package.) The Passport includes Bowfin Submarine, Battleship Missouri and the Pacific Aviation Museums entrances.

My son and daughter-in-law were at Pearl Harbor two weeks ago and the Arizona Memorial was still closed (structural damage). They took a tour boat that got close to the memorial, but didn't disembark any passengers.

 

There is, however, many things to see and do at the Visitor's Center. A tour of the USS Missouri is great to do as well.

As you can see they've updated their estimate to at least March of 2019.
