President's Cruise Star Class Review-3rd Times a Charm!

Recommended Posts

I was in the CLS and after the first couple of days we avoided the Suite Lounge something we have enjoyed on the Oasis and Allure, I also applied for the Visa card for next year. we have booked next year’s cruise but did not feel the price justified the service we received. Without asking we got a future cruise credit so rccl knew they goofed up. We are diamond plus and never got the fan but the other gifts. I did not realize many of the gifts were geared towards your c and a level.

Other than a bottle of wine, the only special gift was the pineapple.

The fan was given out at one of the Visa parties not for Crown and anchor.  All gifts were given to every level except the Pinnacle gift.

Interesting about the FCC.  There was a comment on a message board that a Star Class guest received a FCC and she was wondering if anyone else received one.  Another poster commented that she had emailed Royal referencing  that FCC and they told her it was not due to the SL being overcrowded and it was some other issues.  Once again inconsistencies.

As a Star Class guest we had every restaurant choice open to us.  Excellent service in all of the restaurants. I am not going to go into detail about the restaurants and what we ate, because frankly, I cannot remember.  We ate at every single restaurant, ordered food to our room after Labadee, had our Starbucks delivered, had afternoon drinks delivered, had late night room service.  You wanted it you got it!  I wasn't feeling well at Wonderland and went back later in the week and had desert at the bar.  I did get a few strange looks, but no problem from the staff.

The whole week was a blur.  I did so much but felt like I did not do much of anything.  I guess that is a sign of a good vacation.

Something to keep in mind is if you order breakfast, make sure you specify you Coastal Kitchen with the Genie.  The first day we did not and it did not show up.  We called the Genie and she checked on it an the order was delayed.  We were on a tight schedule that morning so we did not get the nice relaxing breakfast that day.

I met a bartender named Rendi who was working in Boleros.  He said the bartenders like to make up drinks and each has their own.  He made a Tiramisu Martini.  The best drink I have ever had on a ship.  It had about five kinds of liquor including fireball whiskey.  We then ordered them to be delivered to our room and the suite lounge!

Our room attendant was going home when we got back.  He was very efficient.   We had laundry service sent out daily. but unlike before it did not come back as quick as when we were on Oasis.

They brought in extra Next Cruise people.  That place was always busy.  Our genie arranged a private time to meet with the Next Cruise Manager which was nice so we did not have to wait around.

The Suite Sundeck is so nice and the bartender Jackie was a delight.

We did order a second fridge for our room.  The ones on the ship are never cold enough for me.  I like cold drinks and they were always just chilled.  It worked wonderfully.

I had some OBC I wanted to cash out on the last day.  I had to go to the casino, normally they just take 5% and give you cash, but now they hand you a voucher or chips.  You have to go put it in a machine and then cash out.  Okay, I go and find  my a Wheel of Fortune machine and put my voucher in.  Long story short after 3 spins, I was up 300.00.  Royal lost on that deal.  If I would have just gotten cash, I would have walked out of the casino.

Yes, I believe so.  Your name sounds familiar.  Does your wife/partner/so's name start with a D.  I don't want to say it on a public message board.  We met at the sailaway party and talked briefly and saw you a few more times around the ship.  I was the birthday girl!

Yes, that would be us. D says hello.
