road to hana and luau

hi all. I am leaving on the pride of America on oct 27. I am looking for suggestions on finding tours for the road to hana in maui and a luau in Kauai. I am not one who does cruise ship excursions because I know how much they inflate the price. is there a company that anyone has used that offers these? thanks!.

Check out Maui Country Farm Tours at https://mauicountryfarmtours.com/tours    We are doing Half Way to Hana with this tour company in January. We toured with Marilyn Lopes before.  She does fantastic  small group tours.  If you prefer to go all the way to Hana, you will be on the bus most of the time.

Michael and i are also on the October 27 Pride Cruise.  We booked Road to Hana with Valley Isle excursions - 12 seat touring bus ` looks amazing and good reviews.  We decided to book the Luau with NCL in Kauai, expensive but includes tour and transportation.     Hope this helps.

Agee years ago I went with Valley Isle tours. Excellent. They take you the full way around the island as opposed to getting to Hana and turning back around

We travel frequently to Kauai.  Our favorite luau is Smith's Family Luau.  It's in a tropical garden setting not far (although not walking distance) from the Nawiliwili dock.  Their website lists transportation options for cruise ship passengers.https://www.smithskauai.com/garden-luau/

Road to Hana, I'd rent a car and drive myself and see things at my pace, not a tour operators.

 

For luau on Kauai, the Smith Family Luau is my favorite too, in as much as I can tolerate a commercial luau.
