Can EXIF or other data be seen from photos posted here directly from your computer/device?

One of the improvements made to the CC forum with the new site is the ability to drag and drop (or select) photos from your computer or mobile devices and post them here directly -- no need to go through a third party now (like Shutterfly).  Here's my question: for a photo that has been posted directly this way, can the EXIF or other data be seen?  I've used an online "view EXIF data" tool and it does not seem so, but I'm hoping those far more expert in these things than I could confirm that.

I just downloaded my test photo and all of its' EXIF and IPTC were stripped.
