CB internet

As of 5 minutes ago, we found out that the unlimited internet on the Caribbean Princess is no more, back  to the 250 minute cap for Elite/Platinum. Bummer. Boarding now.

Thanks for sharing this information!  We board the CB on November 25 and sure was hoping the free internet would still be available.  Oh well...we will purchase a package plus receive our 250 minutes.  We are on a 14 night cruise and I need to stay in touch with reality!

It should be faster than before. You should get more internet for your minutes.

The unlimited internet was given as a perk since the Medallion  wasn't in full operation until a few weeks ago. Since it's almost in full operation now they've cut out the unlimited internet for everyone.😢

We board the CB next month and was looking forward to the unlimited internet.  However we have always been able to live within the 150 or 250 minute perk so not much will have changed.  With the faster internet our internet minutes may last longer.

We just got off, and at the beginning of the cruise there were a lot of problems with the loyalty minutes.  Have someone at the internet desk install the shortcuts for you, to be sure you can log out properly.

We are sitting here in Crooners right now and most are off the ship at Princess Cay. Just ran internet speed test and got 50mb down and 24.8mb up. They are still working out kinks in *****, but working pretty well for the most part. We like it and so far, like the changes they have made to the ship since February of last year when we last sailed.

Great report Eagle_and_hawk.  We will be boarding the CB in three weeks plus a few days.  The internet speed that you are seeing is better than what we have at home so no more waiting for a page to come up or be sent.  Our 250 minutes will last a lot longer.  

 

We have an open mind on the changes to the ship so it will be nice to experience them to form our opinions.  We do like going to Sabatini's and the new menu should prove interesting.  The old HC format really needed to be changed more like the royal class ships but remodeling space was limited so it will be nice to see what they have done.

We are saving patters and requesting the dining room menus each night to post later. Interesting that they have two bed toppers to choose from and four pillows. Not sure if that is all rooms or just the suites. Don’t want to hi-jack the post as getting off topic, just new things we are seeing and liking 😀

Has anyone tried using Wi-Fi calling (VOIP) on board?  May need to participate in a conference call and want to avoid using ship phone.
