Michaels Club

We have booked a Sky Suite and leave on the 5th Nov.   I am confused, do we have access to Michaels like other suite guests or not?  I just found this on CC page about the ship.

"Michael's Club (Deck 5): This clubby bar decked out in dark woods and plush seats is only open to Zenith members of the Captain's Club -- Celebrity's loyalty club -- and those staying in mid- and top-tier suites (Sky Suite and AquaClass Suite guests do not have access)."

We were in sky suite earlier this year was extremely impressed by service and drinks in Micheals , we have done suites on hal and many on rccl but suite lounge is far superior on celebrity, also luminae food and service is also excellent.

We’re first time Celebrity cruisers and have a Sky Suite, if we don’t have an alcoholic beverage package do we pay for drinks in Michaels?  I’ve seen people post that they enjoy drinks there but don’t know if they have drinks as a perk.

No, you can’t “always”take drinks.  We have read several posts from people who were stopped by the Concierge when they tried to do this, perhaps tied to whether or not they had drinks packages but no one knows for sure

My Michael's Concierge told me feel free to do so .

She told me MC is for Suite guests,Zeniths and VIP to use.

Great info...thanks everyone.   We're not heavy drinkers but an occasional drink seems warranted on a cruise.  I dont mind paying but that's a nice option for a quiet pre-dinner choice.

Pre dinner (about 5.30ish) often the string duet or pianist will do a short performance in Michael’s as guests come for early evening drinks. Very pleasant. After dinner it is also a nice place to return to for a cognac, a Baileys or just a coffee and a nice chat with fellow cruisers. When you leave they will happily give you a drink to take to your balcony, water for the night, a soda....If you have a preferred drink that isn’t generally available they will usually do their best to get it for you.

Remember Michael’s is open all day, we often call for a quiet cool drink on return from excursions.

In addition there is usually a ‘meet the officers’ event early in the cruise which is very pleasant. Then there is afternoon tea daily and the concierge has morning and evening hours where he/she is there to solve any issues you have, answer any questions.

There is a lot more to Michael’s than just a pre dinner drink!

MC can also be used by blue chip casino players, who i guess fall into the VIP category.

As for drinks, they can be taken out aslong as they are for YOU :classic_cool:

You are absolutely right. They are the bread and butter of Celebrity.

Regarding about DRINKS,I don't need to carry with me as my card is good for any bar's on the ship.:classic_rolleyes:

Except..........one

We have had access to MC when in Sky and Celebrity Suites, and now that we turned Zenith use this venue frequently.  For example, we just returned home last night from 28 nights on the Millennium, and were in MC at least three times daily during that time onboard.  I have never been told, on any ship,  that we could not take a beverage (for us) out of MC, and see folks doing so almost every time we are there.  MC is very different from the Elite and Elite+ nightly cocktail gathering.

Does anyone know what the non-alcoholic offerings in Michael's club are? I'm particularly interested in bottled water and soda.  Thanks!

They have both still and sparkling water and a good range of sodas and mixers. If there is a particular drink you enjoy that they don’t stock if they have it on board they will get it for you.

We are on Infinity right now.  We always use Michael's Club and if we have not finished our drink, we always take it with us, it has never been a problem.  There is a full line of waters, both sparkling and still available, as well as all of the Coke products of soft drinks.  Enjoy !

I like the idea Michael's Club only open to Zenith members of the Captain's club once they revolutionize the Solstice Class ship.

That will prevent over crowding by the Zeniths in the Suite Lounge.

I have heard complain from poster mentioning over crowding in MC was caused by Zeniths.
