?s about cruise in departure port

My cruise doesn't depart Buenos Aires until 6:45 PM the day after boarding. Does anyone know which day and about what time they are likely to do the muster drill? Will we be free to leave the ship and explore Buenos Airies any time after boarding or are there certain hours?

Consider the ship as your hotel. You may come and go as you please. The muster drill will be on the day the ship leaves Buenos Aires approximately an hour before departure.

Warning, the Buenos Aires Cruise Terminal is very small and a royal pain in the butt.  Embarkation was the worst we have ever experienced.  

The terminal is big enough for one ship, we had three embarking that day.  Also, taxis from there are ripoffs.

Our last cruise started with an overnight in Honolulu. The muster drill was around 3 or 4 on the first day which we found incredibly inconvenient. We planned to check in early and then spend the whole day touring. There was a make up drill scheduled (in the paperwork they gave us) the second evening (the sail away evening). However EVERYONE we talked to said no make drill was scheduled and we MUST attend the first one.

One other consideration about Buenos Aires.   It is a big container port - you must take a shuttle bus to the ship from the terminal.   So it's not just a walk off and go like some ports.  

 

Word of warning for embarkation - it was a mad house for us.   One of our friends had a suitcase taken from them by being distracted by someone asking a question (likely an accomplice) - so always be aware of your surroundings and all your belongings....

You can board on either day and are free to leave the ship and tour if you choose.   Muster drill will be held on the second day and will be approximately 3:30-5:30, usually about an hour prior to sailaway but they will take into consideration early dining time.   

 

Once you check in and board the ship it will be listed in the Daily or ask guest relations.
