Go-Bucks! Posted October 27, 2018 #1 Share Posted October 27, 2018 Any recommendations for a reliable company to take a whale watching tour in the Honolulu area in early February?
Beachiekeen Posted October 27, 2018 #2 Share Posted October 27, 2018 I'm sorry I don't but will you be visiting Maui at all? That is peak whale watching season on Maui and whales will be there in droves.

I've been to Maui and saw many whales, but our upcoming cruise stops in Oahu, Kauai & Hawaii (Hilo) and my friend has never seen a whale. We have other plans for the other islands. So.....anyone have an answer to my original question?
cb at sea Posted November 5, 2018 #4 Share Posted November 5, 2018 We were in Maui in mid-April, and saw many "late-leaving" moms and babies....most are gone by April, but there are stragglers! We did not take a "whale" watching tour...we simply saw them during a boat trip to a dive site...and it was the 1st thing we saw after we left the airport! Too cool! Moms and babies in a lagoon! WaterView2 Posted November 7, 2018 #5 Share Posted November 7, 2018 I have seen whales from shore on Oahu but haven't taken a boat tour specifically to see them. There are tours from Honolulu harbor, Ko Olina marina and Waianae boat harbor.

We'll be in Oahu in February (not Maui in April).
