I see a product for smuggling liquor on to cruise ships called Cruse Runners. Or Cruise ship flak kit I know this subject has been beat to death and some folks will react with indignance about how wrong this is.

But-I am interested to see if any anyone has used this product successfully or any other product?

No "indignance" here. Not even indignation. But do you seriously think the security agents who are checking the bags haven't seen just about every trick in the book? We'll forgo comment on those who have no moral or ethical qualms about contravening cruise line policies.

At least you could do something fun and tell us how you smuggle marijuana on board. Now, THAT would be entertaining!

I of course would never do anything like that , but on my first suite on a new celebrity ship found half a joint just left on counter.

Taking it onboard is not the problem.  It is when you get off the ship.

See the reports of people being detained (several in Bermuda recently) where they brought some THC containing substances on board without issue, but got caught with them while or after getting off the ship.

Heh. I've literally just stuck plastic minis (50ml) in my pocket and walked through security. Not even because I wanted to drink them (I had an unlimited drinks package; the minis went straight into my suitcase) - I just didn't feel like dealing with the hassle of picking them up at the end, and assumed (correctly) that they wouldn't have any way of checking. 😄  (I just like collecting minis.)

Just be sure to poke some holes so your booze doesn't suffocate.

I have wondered about that myself.  I've smelled "skunk" on a few of our recent cruise and am pretty sure Pepe le Pew was not among the passengers.

I smuggled booze back onto the ship on our last cruise, but it wasn't to drink onboard.  While in St. Lucia, I purchased a 16 oz. bottle of the spiced rum and "smuggled" that on my person when going through security to get back on the ship.  The reason was because if I checked it while boarding, I wouldn't have been able to pick it up until the morning of debarkation and we didn't want to go through the hassle.  I believe Carnival has started delivering to the cabin on the last night again, and if that's the case, smuggling won't be necessary.  We usually just purchase our drinks on the ship and love the souvenir cups.

These smuggling threads are usually pretty grim - but I like this one: it has given us a new word (applicable in a number of Cruise Critic contexts): “indignance” - I like it.

I think they   aremore commonly referred to as sum runners.    they are no hard to find when bags are run through x-ray,

If they are not hard to find with x-ray, how come some many people have been successful with them?

There may be many who have been successful with them - that is if you believe every CC post you read.   Then, there are a lot of posters who report winning most of the time (some claim EVERY) time in the casino; and those who buy jewelry in the Caribbean and have it appraised at much larger value when at home; or those whose shipboard “art” purchases have turned out to be worth multiples of what they paid.

In any case,  I tend not to place too much credence on the veracity of people who think it is cool to boast about cheating.

Probably because the person running the xray isn't the one searching the bag and the communication between the two of them breaks down (such as a failure to communicate where in the bag the suspected item is located). I also wouldn't rule out under-trained personnel or personnel that have too much to do.

I'm thinking it might be a good business opportunity to create luggage that is actually a disguised tank with a fill cap and pour spout.  Only problem is I figure a carry on size is going to run about 80 pounds.  That might be a problem.  So instead maybe flasks disguised as cell phones or laptops.  I mean the possibilities are endless.  :classic_ohmy:
