Puerto Vallarta

If you enjoy long days in a bus (a good 3 hours round trip) and small towns nestled in a mountain valley then perhaps this tour is made for you.   But if this is your first visit to Puerto Vallarta you might want to spend your time in Puerto Vallarta :).  PV certainly has much better shopping, lots of decent art galleries, and an amazing assortment of wonderful eating venues.  Consider that it should cost you no more then $5 to get into Puerto Vallarta (Centro) and you can even do it for 10 Pesos (about 50 cents) on the local bus.

We visited San Sebastian a few times and liked it very much. Small old mining town, nice small museum, a tiny prison and also famous for its coffeebeans too. The drive itself through the mountains is also nice. You probably will visit the San Sebastian Tequila place outside town which makes some excellent tequilas.

It is in a higher altitude and can be more chilly then Vallarta.

Since you have been to PV before, yes it is a nice place to go.
