I can't even imagine being able to afford such a luxurious vacation so often!  What I'm scared about is taking my first cruise next February(which we've been planning and paying toward for over a year)and then becoming addicted and making the poor decision to do more(rather than you know, home improvements and stuff lol)!!!

Be prepared - it WILL happen!  Addiction is almost a guarantee!  Have fun!

Thought this would be an interesting topic..

I have been cruising since 2016! April 2019 will be my 4th cruise!

When did you start cruising and how many cruises have you been on?

Well, it's shown in my signature, but - started cruising 2008 and have been on 22 cruises thus far.  Got a couple more booked in the next year.

First cruise was on the Viking Serenade (Royal Caribbean) on 12-27-1996. I was 12 years old and immediately got hooked on the cruise life.

Currently at 12 cruises (76 cruise days) and going on Allure of the Seas next summer.

My life goal is 50 cruises.

We have cruised 62 times on Royal for 328 days. We have cruised Carnival 162 times for 883 days. There are many people we know, who have many more days at sea. It’s what we enjoy. When we don’t, we will stop.

Wow!  That's impressive.   Averaging 100ish nights on a ship a year for twelve years running.  Clearly you have found your bliss.  Our numbers are pretty paltry in comparison;  1/2007-9/2017 16 cruises, 5 lines, 120 nights.  We've given it a miss in 2018.

Define what a cruise is.

Is a 40hrs ferry cruise between two countries a cruise? To me, a cruise is when you cruise on a ship that's a dedicated cruise ship. At the same time, I do belive that a cruise on Hurtigruten would count as a real cruise.. But Hurtigruten does not have cruise ships.

I have done 12 "real" cruises since 2011.

My wife has done 10 since 2013.

Our daughter have done 3 during this year (she is only 10 months old).

Ncl Epic 2011 - West Med 7nts

Serenade OTS 2012 - East Caribbean 7nts

Allure OTS 2013 - West Caribbean 7nts

Legend OTS 2015 - East / South Caribbean 11nts

Legend OTS 2015 - East Caribbean 10nts

Majesty OTS 2016 - Bahamas 3nts

Celebrity Equinox 2016 - South west Caribbean 11nts

Navigator OTS 2017 - South east Caribbean 9nts

Freedom OTS 2017 - West Caribbean 6nts

MSC Meraviglia 2018 - Genoa to Hamburg 11nts

Celebrity Equinox 2018 - East Caribbean 7nts

MSC Seaview 2018 - West Med 7nts

DH and I started cruising in 2001.  We have been on 18 cruises, 105 nights, 15 ships, 4 cruise lines, 20 ports of call, and 7 embarkation ports.  10 Carnival, 5 NCL, 2 Disney, and 1 Princess.  Cruise number 19 is booked for Dec 2018 on NCL Gem and number 20 is booked for May 2019 on Carnival Magic.  Our kids started cruising with us in 2001 when they were 4 and 7 on our 2 Disney cruises.  They have been on 11 cruises.  7 Carnival, 2 NCL,  and 2 Disney with us.  Their 12th cruise will be in May 2019 with us on CCL Magic celebrating DS's 25th birthday.

You need to cruise more!  Lol  😁

I really do.  😁.  Six of those cruises have been in the last ten years.  I would go much more often if I had someone to cruise with me in my retirement. Sadly, I was widowed ten years ago.  I retired when my husband was sick.   🙁
