JoeMammy Posted November 1, 2018 #1 Share Posted November 1, 2018 Has anyone been on board during Thanksgiving and was anything notable done by X? We will be in St. Kitts that day. I saw a post in our roll call thread that somebody was on board last year and that the buffet was the place to be for turkey after turkey with all the fixings. White meat w/gravy and football for sure!

Marelaine Posted November 1, 2018 #3 Share Posted November 1, 2018 We were on Reflection last Thanksgiving. The MDR served turkey with dressing and sweet potato tart. It was nothing like a home cooked Thanksgiving meal. We didn't eat TG dinner in the Oceanview buffet, but I can say there was lots of variety throughout the cruise. There were more families with young children than is typical of Celebrity and it was really hectic around the pool.
Ozzmund Posted November 2, 2018 #4 Share Posted November 2, 2018 We were on the Eclipse last Thanksgiving. We ate in Blu and there was no traditional Thanksgiving fare. I remember my wife did have some type of turkey entree but as mentioned previously, nothing like what you would enjoy at home.

stevea36 Posted November 3, 2018 #6 Share Posted November 3, 2018 We were on Reflection for thanksgiving 2014, in Aqua Class. It happened to be 2nd formal night as well so I had both the turkey and Lobster. The turkey was nothing to write home about !! the lobster in Blu, on the other hand, was excellent. Sound exactly like the turkey dinners offered in the MDR on non Thanksgiving cruises. Edited November 3, 2018 by davekathy
Rare go.without.you Posted November 6, 2018 #8 Share Posted November 6, 2018 I've sailed Celebrity for the last 5 Thanksgivings. If there is a turkey dinner offered on your sailing, the people that order it seem to be disappointed. I always ask the waiter each night what they recommend.
