If you have purchased "The Key" where do you see it ahead of time?  I would think it would be somewhere in the cruise planner but I don't see it.  Does it show on setsail?

If you go back into check in and look at your set sail pass (after you purchase the key), there should be a little black key on it.  I didn't see it anywhere on the cruise planner, but since I have my receipt for the key printed out and it's on our set sail pass, I'm not going to worry too much about it not being on the cruise planner.

Boarded at 11 at terminal A. Boarding had already started so no special line or anything. Security was a breeze with or without the Key. 11:10 were in the ship. First person we saw past the initial set sail pass check upon entering the ship was standing beside a sign that read the The Key. We asked where to drop off our carry on. She seemed confused by this question. She responded by telling us that the rooms would not be available until 130 and our bags would arrive sometime after that. I told her no you misunderstood I said we purchased The Key and I understand l that that included carry on drop off and it was usually in the theatre. She replied with some confused comments about baggage being delivered to the room later. I persisted. She eventually seemed to understand I was talking about the small backpack in my hand and she said maybe the theatre. I went to the theatre. There  was no one there. I gave up and carried my bag to the pool bat and ordered my first drink. I felt like I earned it after that ordeal.

Lunch at Chops was fine. Menu was the same as has been posted but I’ll post it again just to keep the thread current. Service was good we were in 1200 and out at 1245. I went to check on room availability as I thought Key got you early access. No so, back down to the promenade where I went to GS to talk about the lack carry on bag drop off. GS seemed confused about this perk. After the alkjng to someone behind the wall she returned and asked when I boarded. I told her 11. Her response was “ oh drop off in the theatre was 1130 to 1.”  I asked what the point of a drop off service only available one hour after you allowed people to board. She just stood there with a dumb look on her face. So I walked away. At 130  everybodies room was made available. We checked our room out found our Key package with internet codes and welcome letter. I’ll post those later with special times.  I’m back down at playmakers people watching now. Strongbow is helping me recover from my horrible first world problems.

On Harmony last week they  were very diligent on checking that everybody had the Key sticker for show seating, activities, and before escorting us past the debarkation queue

So helpful to me. Thank you. We are going on Harmony and, after reading people were not paying and then could be able to sneak in with someone who paid, I was ready to cancel. If Harmony monitors it well, I will keep it. It is a lot of money which is worth it to me if it is enforced but worth nothing to me if it is a free for all.  Thank you much!!!

So very typical of Royal.

I think marketing is just having a laugh; one of those cases where people think the more something costs the better it is.

It's basically internet and lunch at Chops.

Almost $550 for a week for a couple.  Wow.

See those 2 ships behind you?  Luggage drop off is free for all guests and no BS'ing about it.

Yep, that's exactly what we had on Anthem.  It was delicious.  Consider yourself lucky it only took 45 mins.  We were there an hour and a half.lol  Getting into the room early is not a perk, but we were in ours by 1:00 and our luggage was already in the hallway and our carry ons were in our closet.  That part went perfectly.  Sorry you're having a bad time with it.

I am a first time cruiser.  Because this is a once in a lifetime trip for us, I decided to get the Key and did it for the boarding, debarkation, show seats, luggage drop off, and first day lunch and last day breakfast.  The rest I don't care about so much.  I have seen good reviews so far from those on the Harmony which is what we are sailing next month.  However, the harmony is changing ports to PC for our cruise.  Do the boarding of the ship benefits depend on the ship or the port?  IE, can I rely on Harmony reviews from another port?

I would be upset if I were Tree_Skier.  You get the key to start your vacation right and pay a premium for that.  For his crew not to even be familiar with the basic benefits is ridiculous.  He not only didn't get the Key benefits, he started his vacation paying a premium for nothing at all.  That is the opposite of what the key is supposed to do.

Anyway, I am willing to pay for the things above if they are provided.  I don't want to end up paying for what Tree_Skier got.  Hopefully his gets much, much better or I would be asking for a refund.

Any thoughts on the Harmony and the port?  Which is responsible for boarding?  Thanks so much.  You all are great and have helped us so much!

I have my receipt from my email where I purchased the key, but it isn't showing up on my set sail pass.  I'll probably call and make sure they have it listed on there.

I can't speak to boarding at PC but I was on Harmony a few weeks ago with the key and the crew who were affected by it were very well aware of it. We had no problems except for a full reserved seating section one night.

Thank you.  I am hoping that continues!

Boarded Mariner Of The Seas at 11 am. So far The Key has been a complete disaster. Nobody knows what they’re talking about. I’ll report more later.

That’s Awful. RCCL needs to get its Act Together!

You should be comped for the day and if it continues to Not be what was advertised, I’d challenge the charge.

Hope  it Does get better and Does work out for u!!

good luck.

It doesn't show on my pass or any of my friends/families set sail pass either.  I was told to just print out the confirmation.

My husbands set sail pass has a key under his name and to the right of his Diamond Plus status and choice.

In your cruise planner go to "Order History" Everything that I ordered/reserved was listed there including The Key

Interesting.  I have our receipt for the key, bought it long ago when it first came out for our sailing, and when we printed our set sail passes there is no key on it.

Also the typo on the skating times is pretty poor. If I wasn’t so tired from meetings this week I’d stay up till 2am and demand to ice skate for 30 minutes

Hey, it says 1 pm to 2:30 am.  Go at 5 pm.  You don't have to wait up until 2:30 am.  I would assume it is not a typo since they reviewed and sent it out.  🙂

What gets me is that they are significantly raising their prices while, at the very same time, they can't figure out what the program even includes.  They are charging a premium now at $37 for something that appears to be largely hit or miss in application.
