Need to use cruise credit by the end of the year, need advice

I have cruise credit that I need to use by 12/30 and am planning on something for 2020. Princess just released their dates for summer but there isn’t anything promotional going on. Is there an advantage to waiting until the last minute (like 12/29) to see if there are any incentives like free drink packages coming up? We are looking at Caribbean July 2020.

Book now but don't book a cruise that is non-refundable. 

If a promotion comes up, you can request to be refaired with the new promotion.

I don't see there being an advantage.

Some cruise lines do promotions right after Thanksgiving on Friday, the weekend or on Monday.

 

Maybe ask on the Princess board if folks there think there will be some promotions.

I also don't see any advantage to this. Usually if there are promotions, it's closer to the sailing date, as they are trying to fill the ship up. There usually aren't many this far in advance.
