VAT stamp

Dear Fellow Cruisers:

 

Like to ask if anyone missed stamping the VAT Forms when exiting Papeete airport on the purchase made in French Polynesia. Is there any way to make up for it otherwise the store there will charge me the tax they now withholds. So unfortunately I missed the custom window to stamp the VAT Forms at the airport and they didn't allow me to go back to do it.
