Thailand is in the process of changing visa requirements, visa attributes, and visa costs.   Apparently tourism is slower than their target growth rate of 12 percent.   The changes will apparently soon be rubber stamped by Cabinet and put in to place immediately.  I think for some nationalities, they will eliminate the VIA charge of 2000 bhat.  Fortunately we currently only need a visa if we plan to stay more than 30 days.
