mj Posted April 4, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 4, 2004 I booked a solo cruise on the Paradise 1a in the cancellation period about three weeks ago for 5/9/04. Now somebody wants to go with me. What are your options. Can you add someone to your room or can you book a new room? I'm thinking that since you are in the cancellation period that it is too late now. You would impose some cancellation period fees and wouldn't be worth it in the end. Your help is appreciated. budser Posted April 4, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 4, 2004 You just need to call your TA and ask about adding another passenger in your room or let them know if you need to change categories. I'm sure if there is still availability on the ship that Carnival could accommodate your request. Kathy ~~ til' we sail the Sensation ~~
CaribbeanCrazy Posted April 4, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 4, 2004 There are usually at least two beds in each cabin...although if your in a 1A in might be bunkbeds. If you don't mind the bed configuration...I'm sure Carnival won't turn down another paying guest. Good Luck CaribbeanCrazy
Brneyznfl Posted April 4, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 4, 2004 There shouldn't be any problem adding a another person to your booking. As long as you don't change categories, your rate will be what the double occupancy rate was at the time of your booking. Your roommate will pay the current double occupancy rate. Next Cruise! Sea Turtle Posted April 4, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 4, 2004 One time when I booked solo 1A my sister decided about a week out she wanted to go. CCL was unable to add her because even though my cabin had a second bed the ship was already at coast guard capacity. Then about 3-4 days later I received a call saying the ship now had room for my sister if she still wanted to come along. Unfortunately for someone else they had to cancel but lucky for me. My sister was added on in my 1A cabin, and we picked up the docs at the pier. Trusting it will work as well for you, mj. Enjoy your cruise! <img src=http://members.hometown.aol.com/bay2baygal/myhomepage/seaturtle.gif?mtbrand=AOL_US>
