2 Questions - coming and going

Disembarkation-

Miami Port at 8:00am.  Self Assist.  Will a 1:06 flight work out of FLL, most likely?

 

Embarkation-

I am flying in to Tampa to spend time with my parents before cruise.  I plan to rent a car and drive it down to Miami, returning the car there.  Any tips of which car company and how I can get my family and myself to Miami Port from there?

Disembarkation fight time is fine, will not be any problem at all.

We live north of Tampa about 50 miles. We rent from Budget in New Port Richey (don't know if you will be near there or not). AARP gets you better rates. AND you don't have to pay stooopid airport fees.

Check out Budget AARP and look for neighborhood rental places.

Once you have dropped off the car at the airport in Miami, getting to the pier is easy.

You will see your flight time is fine. And that virtually all the major car rental companies have shuttles from their airport locations to the Port.

As mentioned, the disembarkation flight time is more than fine.  You also do not need to do self assist if you are doing so to manage that time - you have more than enough time for that process and connection as FLL is only 45 minutes away from the POM.

 

Also, don't know what travel arrangements you have in mind to get to FLL but you may want to consider Uber.  Very efficient and reliable for that - we've used them a couple of times R/T FLL - POM / POM - FLL.  You can also reserve your POM pick up in advance with Uber.
